How to Remove Password from PDF Files

Why Remove PDF Password?

Removing passwords makes it easier to access and share documents. You might need to unlock a PDF you own but forgot the password for.

Method 1: Using PDF Helper

1. Go to PDF Helper
2. Select Unlock PDF tool
3. Upload the protected PDF
4. Enter the password
5. Download unlocked PDF

Method 2: Using Adobe Acrobat

Open PDF in Acrobat, go to File > Properties > Security, change Security Method to No Security.

Method 3: Using Google Chrome

1. Open PDF in Chrome
2. Enter password to view
3. Print > Save as PDF
4. Save the new (unlocked) file

Important Notes

• Only remove passwords from your own documents
• Some PDFs have editing restrictions (not just open passwords)
• Print-protected PDFs may need special tools
